The Cahana family: “In 2011 [Rabbi] Ronnie Cahana [in wheelchair] suffered a severe stroke that left him with locked-in syndrome: completely paralyzed except for his eyes. Megan and Grace Phelps-Roper, grand-daughters of Fred Phelps, founder of the infamous Westboro Baptist Church (“God hates fags”). They spoke at “Le Mood,” a Jewish event in Montreal, not long after leaving the Church, as part of a tour of cultural understanding involving groups against whom they used to discriminate.
